1. All trailers are sanded & acid washed to etch the metal for better primer adhesion.
2. All trailers are sprayed with a High Build Corrosion Protection Primer
3. All seams are completely caulked before primer is applied.
4. All rough or raw edges are finished and/or caulked with silicone adhesive caulking.
5. Trim most edges, anything not trimmed is available as an affordable option.
6. Wherever possibly 3M adhesive products are applied.
7. Less holes drilled in steel is less spots to cause rusting.
8. All wheel wells and running boards are undercoated.
9. All frames are undercoated, except for economy models. (It is an affordable option on economy models)

Trailer Prepping & Paint Process

• The trailer is gone over completely from top to bottom to scrape off ANY weld berries, excess weld wire, or slag.
• All welds are gone over with a grinder on the outside to ensure a smooth surface.
• After grinding the trailer is then sanded, to buff out any grind marks or imperfections in the metal & to help etch the metal for primer and paint adhesion.
• The trailer is then completely washed with an acid wash solvent.

Why use acid wash?

Cleaning the trailer with an acid wash solvent cuts through the grease, oil, and grime that gets on metal throughout the manufacturing process.  The acid wash also further etches the metal for better primer adhesion.

• All seams of the trailer are then caulked inside and out with a silicone adhesive caulking.
• The trailer is then wiped down again with high quality tacks racks to remove any dust, lint, or any other air born impurities.
• Two coats of a High Build Supreme Primer are applied.

Why is priming so important?

Quality Primers such as the High Build we have upgraded to have excellent holdout, meaning the primer actually enhances the gloss of the top coat.  Primer also adheres to metal better than top coat alone, it also gives the metal better protection from corrosion.

• Three coats of Alkyd Enamel Paint, or where it applies one or two coats of Supreme Acrylic Enamel Paint are then applied.
